The Relationship between Health and Economic growth

Abstract

Abstract The relationship between the variables of health and economic growth are interchangeable (they affect each others), and the mortality rate variable is a key indicator that illustrates the impact of economic growth on the general health status, as well as other indicators such as level of nutrition and general health care, and environmental hygiene. The flip side of this relationship represents the contribution of general health status to economic growth. In this research the nature of this relationship of mutual causality will be clarified. A range of channels showing detailed mechanisms of influence in both directions will be elaborated. المستخلص تعد العلاقة بين متغيري الصحة والنمو الاقتصادي علاقة متبادلة (يؤثر كل منهما في الآخر)، ويعد متغير معدل الوفيات مؤشراً أساسياً لتوضيح أثر النمو الاقتصادي في عموم الوضع الصحي، فضلاً عن مؤشرات أخرى مثل مستوى التغذية والعناية الصحية العامة والنظافة البيئية. والوجه الآخر لهذه العلاقة يمثل مدى مساهمة الوضع الصحي العام في النمو الاقتصادي. وسيتم في هذا البحث التعرف على طبيعة هذه العلاقة السببية المتبادلة من خلال مجموعة من القنوات تبين تفصيل آليات التأثير في كلا الاتجاهين
